Takeoff’s Funeral Emotional Impact: Rickey Smiley Show (video)

Cardi B paid tribute to the late Migos rapper Takeoff. She said, “Takeoff, your timely passing has brought a great deal of pain and sorrow to so many lives. The impact that you had in this world was so considerable, and we have struggled to grasp this tragedy. I’m heartbroken, but I’m grateful for all the precious memories we got to share while you were here with us. This has truly been a nightmare, and the pain is incomparable. The emptiness your brothers are feeling is unbearable, and I pray that you give Offset, Quavo, and your friends and family the strength to keep going as they are trying to cope with this loss. I believe the angels send signs in beautiful dreams to loved ones to assure them that they’re watching them and that they’re okay. Send your mom some of those.”

Da Brat said the “WAP” rapper also hinted at a possible reunion of the Migos.

Da Brat said attended the service, held at the State Farm Arena, which was “beautiful.” White roses were “everywhere,” and a lit structure that looked like a “rib cage” was the centerpiece. There was a rocket ship made out of roses. The stage was almost set for a performance, added. It was an emotional service, and Da Brat said “cried like a baby.”

“When you go to funerals, it just reminds you of everybody else too that you lost and the person that’s there,” said Da Brat.

A piano opened up for Justin Timberlake, who sang a beautiful song, said Da Brat. Drake spoke at the funeral. “When Offset got up, it was rough,” informed Da Brat. “He was very, very emotional, and he kept saying he was sorry.”

Da Brat said Takeoff was known for telling his friends and family that he loved them often. She said for everyone to tell their loved ones that they are loved. “Even if you got an issue with them, tomorrow is not promised,” the radio DJ added.
