Incident Details
On a violent evening in Chicago, police are searching for the shooter responsible for wounding a teenage girl and a woman on the South Side. The incident occurred shortly after 6:30 PM at 119th and Michigan in the West Pullman neighborhood. According to reports, the victims were on the sidewalk when someone drove by and opened fire.
Victims’ Condition
The victims, aged 14 and 55, were both struck in the right leg. The teenager was transported to Comer Children’s Hospital, while the woman was taken to Christ Medical Center. Fortunately, neither victim is currently in critical condition. However, no suspects are in custody at this time.
Related Incidents
There were additional incidents in close proximity to this shooting. Around 6 PM, a 28-year-old individual was shot while driving at 120th and Halsted, resulting in a crash. This victim was later pronounced dead at Christ Medical Center. In a separate incident, a 26-year-old was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the back and later died at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
