The Rickey Smiley Morning Show discussed Mo’Nique’s apology to DL Hughley. Gary With Da Tea said Mo’Nique has finally apologized to Hughley over the “dragged out” fight about the contract dispute.
Gary said, at Mo’Nique’s comedy show in Raleigh, NC, the actress did issue an apology to the fellow comedian.
“I’d like to consider myself a woman of honor, so I’m about to do something right now publicly that I did publicly so when I mess something up… I got to fix it up. So, I’m going to take care of that right now before I go any further. To DL Hughley’s family, I want to publicly apologize if I’ve hurt anyone’s feelings. I want to publicly apologize to his wife, his babies if I hurt their feelings because that was never my intention, but that Negro DL Hughley, I meant everything I said, and she used other terms,” Gary said.
Fans may not forgive the actress easily. Rickey Smiley read comments from fans. One critic commented that the fact she used the word “if” in her apology completely negates the meaning, she said.
Eva, the co-host, said she does agree that Mo’Nique is not used to people responding to her comments; however, Hughley is not “the one.”
