The Rickey Smiley Morning Show praised Cardi B for taking accountability for her assault charges. Cardi B pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges for her role in the 2018 incident at a strip club in Queens. As part of her plea deal, Cardi B has agreed to 15 days of community service. If she does not complete the community service, she will have to serve 15 days in jail, said Da Brat.

“Part of growing up and maturing is being accountable for your actions. as a mother it’s the practice I’m trying to instill in my children, but the example starts with me. I’ve made some bad decisions in my past that I’m not afraid to face and own up to.  These moments don’t define me, and they are not reflective of who I am now. I’m looking forward to moving past this situation with my family and friends and getting back to things I love the most which is music and my fans,” said Cardi B.

Cardi B appeared in court with two codefendants who also pled guilty, Da Brat informed. Part of their plea was to stay away from the two female victims. Da Brat congratulated Cardi B on her maturity and being able to move on past the situation.
