Tom March has been appointed as the new chairman and CEO of Capitol Music Group (CMG), with Lillia Parsa joining as co-president alongside Arjun Pulijal. March, transitioning from his role as U.S. president of Geffen Records, is recognized for his contributions to the music industry, including his work with notable artists and partnerships. Before joining Geffen, he served as co-president of Polydor Records in the U.K., where he supported the development of artists like Glass Animals and managed the Interscope roster in the region.

In his new position at CMG, March will oversee several record labels, including Capitol Records, Blue Note Records, Motown Records, Astralwerks, Harvest Records, and Capitol Christian Music Group, reporting directly to Janick. Lillia Parsa, who previously worked at Universal Music Publishing Group, has collaborated with top artists and contributed to several No. 1 Hot 100 songs.

Parsa’s move to CMG marks a significant step in her career, and she, along with Pulijal, will play a crucial role in shaping the company’s creative direction.

The appointments of March and Parsa come amid a larger restructuring within Universal Music Group, as detailed by Lucian Grainge. This restructuring includes Janick overseeing an expanded portfolio of labels.

Jubelirer’s departure is part of this broader organizational change, leaving a legacy of significant market share growth during her tenure at CMG. The new leadership is set to drive CMG forward, building on its historical success and roster of iconic and contemporary artists.
