A shocking video has gone viral, capturing the moment a repeat offender on probation viciously punched a female NYPD officer, knocking her to the ground on a Bronx sidewalk. The incident occurred on the evening of Thursday, August 6, at the corner of Rosedale and Randall Avenues.
The suspect, a 41-year-old man, was in the middle of an argument with a group of children around 7:10 pm when the female officer attempted to intervene. Without warning, the man struck her in the face, causing her to collapse onto the pavement.
Bystander footage shows the intense aftermath, with other officers and witnesses rushing to assist the injured cop, who was left bleeding on the ground.
