Continuing the breakout series that put him on the map with over 130 million total streams and views, rapper YSN Flow unleashes his new track and video “Want Beef? 3.0” today, which will appear on his upcoming mixtape Long Story Short.
On “Want Beef? 3.0,” an ominous instrumental snakes alongside his nimble delivery. He cuts through the beat with confessional and confident bars. The music video bottles this intense energy as he rips through verses in a hazy warehouse basement. Adding another dimension, the clip overlays his performance above grainy footage of a luxury ride cruising through the night.
The track serves as the next installment in a string of “Want Beef?” bangers. Upon release, Pitchfork named the original “Want Beef?” as “The must-hear rap song of the day,” and added it “sounds so damn good.” The first volume also generated 22.3 million Spotify streams and 20 million views on the music video. Meanwhile, the sequel “Want Beef? 2.0” put up 22 million worldwide streams.
Last month, he dropped off “Blow It All” feat. Osibih. To date, it has racked up nearly 1 million streams worldwide.
Weaving together seamless bars, hypnotic harmonies and hard-hitting hooks, YSN Flow quietly emerged as a 21st century hip-hop contender. Receiving praise from The Source, Bleu Mag, Elevator Magazine, and pegged as “On his way to greatness” by Flaunt, the 16-year-old went from recording in a tiny apartment closet to generating 50 million streams in under a year and landing a deal with Republic Records.
